Gun owners have known for the last five years that this day will come.

The South African Hunting and Game Conservation Association are taking the Police to court to stop the 30th June cutoff date for firearms that do not meet the provisions of the Firearms Control Act legislation.

Gun owners have known for the last five years that this day will come.  We call on the Pretoria High Court not to grant any more time as we cannot afford to lose more lives.  In the interests of the unarmed majority it is critical that the cutoff date of 30th June stands. The Firearms Control Act which is there to protect every citizen will be prejudiced.

Gun Free will be showing solidarity with the Police in Court today (23rd June 2009).

Come and take a stand against irresponsible and negligent firearm owners, if they have not complied with the law then what example are we setting regarding our laws if it not adhered to.
